Lucky! You're going to be missed by millions but I feel sorry for the band because i'm a musician and I know how it feels like to play when someone is missing though my experience was only temporally but DEATH and more so a band leader makes it worse! But please keep it up!

The Son of Africa, our peace maker, freedom fighter, so talented, , fought for love and unity, peace and freedom, stood against crime and other forms of victimization,, all this he did for his fellow africans..only to have his life ended so tragically and so suddenly in return,, the long endless journey of his musical life only to come an end because there is no truth in this world,, Africa indeed has been robbed of an innocent ambassador,,why do we do such things to each other? arent we supposed to be united as sons and daughters of africa? how long shall we hurt our own brothers and sisters? Your increadible voice from your meaniful songs lucky keeps echoing in my ears all the time and like u said nobody can stop reggae music!which means the songs you left behind shall never die, but live for ever and so will you soul, Everyone will most likely agree that Lucky's music has touched every soul which appreciated God's creation, Africa dearly loved you but God definately loved you most, so who are we to question God's decision,to spare u from this as (as you descibed) "crazy world", You have moved a step higher and may you jam the heavens with your music together with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and all the departed souls, and look down upon us as u stand as the candle for all you have behind in this world, Lucky's death should now teach us to put a liitle more love among us and let us respect his soul by working towards making the world a better place to live, by taking the messages that his songs have appealed to us and making use of them, its is definately something hard to get through because i am Malawian fan of Dube and really appreciated him and his music, i was terribly touched by his death, For those who were behind it, let us put them in God's hands because justice is in the hands of the creator, To Dube's family, i pass my sincere condolences, may God comfort you and be with you as you go through this indeed difficult moment especially for the children who were present during the devastating moment, i really do feel your pain. MAY GOD KEEP YOU AT THE PALM OF HIS HAND, MAY THE SOUL OF LUCKY DUBE REST IN PEACE, ONE LOVE LUCKY AND PEACE AFRICA, WE SHALL OVERCOME! Malawi loves you and will miss your reggae beats lucky!!!!!!

I have always carried CDs of Lucky Dube's Music everywhere..on all continents I have been to. Lucky's music always helps me to define my identity as a proud African. whenever I am away from Africa, I play your music the loudest. Lucky, you are dead, but you continue to live in my life everyday. Thank you for the Music. I thank God for your life on earth! Kwaheli!, Julius Mucunguzi, Ugandan in London

It hurts to see people of South Africa dying like flies, for small petty crimes. It just shows how dangerous it is to live there. I'm so grateful to have left that lovely country to live somewhere much safer in the west. Unfortunately the ANC government is not capable of solving serious issues like gun crime. The sad truth is so long as black South Africans use their vote in a racist manner & vote only for Black African political parties these issues will only get worse. That is why democracy never works in Africa. Therefore no south African should feel too bad with what happened to Lucky Dube, even though my heart bleeds for his kind soul....Viva Lazy & incompetent ANC fools, dont forget its your turn the next....Remember Lucky will be waiting for you guys to great you in person

To his family and closest friends he will be missed, but know, that the world is a better place because he was ……… A humble Man from humble beginnings .........aspired to be all that he could be and in his journey of life he has left a most treasured legacy ....... Why is it that the good never live long enough to see fruits of their labours on this wicked earth? Perhaps destiny will say it all coz we are all destined towards it. Lucky has just joined the likes of our rembered greats-Bob Marley, Peter Tosh,Dennis Brown...etc. You will surely be missed by me but your music shall forever remain my inspiration. See u in Zion

Lucky Dube I remember and I will always do is the man I saw in Rwanda in 1996. A peaceful man who knew what to tell to Rwandans in their worse time. " Different colour one people" He was so energic, he came on time and he sang like I had ever seen a star giving all his energy. I would like to tell to his family, friends and fans that they are not alone especially his children who was with him. Words can't express how sad I am, how a peaceful man can just be killed like that? One of the few people we had who could just tell the truth in this corrupt World where singers are afraid to say what they think for fear to lose money. May the Lord welcomes you in his kingdom.
