I always respected your acting. Your diversity, scope, and professionalism in the industry is rarely seen in other actors. Every role you made your own and I was always excited about what the future for you held. I always believed you would be a true legend, that in 50 years and several oscars later, the montoge of your career would be parralled to those like Kirk Douglas, Carey Grant, Jack Nicholson, Mel Gibson, Tom Hanks...unfortunately you are now a legend too soon, and your montoge too brief. I will miss you, I will miss your talent, I will miss the excitment I felt knowing about your next great role.

I know your memories will live on. My heart goes out to your family . It is sad that you had to leave at such a young age. Rest in Peace Heath.

J'ai été très touchée d'apprendre sa disparition. C'était un excellent acteur et il m'avait beaucoup émue dans Brokeback Mountain. Quel dommage qu'il soit parti si jeune... Puisse-t-il reposer en paix. Et que Dieu protège sa famille, ses amis, sa fille.

It came as a shock when my sister let me know about it, and the first thing I thought was that it wasn't supposed to happen and that she was probably lying. And I am still in shock. What a talented acotr he was, he seemed to light up every role he was in and to quote from the LA Times, "he acted in films unworthy of his gifts". There was nothing bad anybody could have found in him. His death is too unreal and eerie.He was so beautiful and so young.It's wrong and it seems unfair.I will never forget that poignant moment when he danced on the bleachers singing "Can't Stop Loving You" in '10 Things'.With actors like him, you want to keep on seeing them as you grow older,want to seem them reach greater heights.His every role will be remembered.My heart goes out to this family and his daughter who won't grow up to know who are father was.Loved him.And will sorely miss him. When I saw the news about Heath I was shocked. What a talent. He was just starting to scatch the edge of his talent. Heath will be missed forever.

what a tragedy,it's unimaginable and shocking that such a talent had to expire at such a young age.i will remember heath as an actor who brought something fresh to the screen,and took risks that other actors would only dream of.my heart and best wishes go out to his family,as this is not only a sad time for them,as we all mourn his passing.he will be sorely missed and never forgotten .

Never have I ever been so moved, by Broke Back Mountain, Every time I watch it would make me cry. Such a wonderful story made of such a gifted actor. May you forever be peaceful in Heaven.

I've never met or had any specail run inns with MR LEDGER ,but even tho i didn't know him as a personal friend,i saw his talent for the first time in the show ROAR, I knew we would see more of him in the future. IT is truly a GREAT loss to not only the movie world but to all the world b/c he was and will always remain a true STAR for all of us! WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!

The first movie I saw him in was "A Knight's Tale". I thought he did an excellent job and the movie got me more interested in european history. I was saddened to hear that he had passed and I hope his family knows that they are not the only ones who will remember him fondly.

i was an extra, or as it's called back a "background person" in CANDY...they were taking publicity photos of heath and he was leaning up against a wall, looking kind of embarassed, and our eyes kinda met. i could tell he was embarrassed so i looked away for a minute but couldn't help but look back although, being shy myself, i know my face was red...and he just gave me the most beautiful smile...i will never forget it. never. oh wait, that was willy nelson, but how i wish it had been heath...

Sleep in peace, and thank you for your tender performance in BrokeBack, you will be missed and now you are at TRUE peace .....

I know he was a brilliant actor in amazing serious roles but I also loved that scene in "10 things", where he sings to Julia Styles!. I actually don't think there is one movie he has done that I havn't enjoyed. True talent and a sweet nature... a true loss. I have little girls of similar age to Matilda (2 & 4) and I know the true power of a "Daddy's Little Girl". I hope all is done to remind her of the great man he was and how much he adored her.
