Thank you for sticking by my side like glue through everything. Thanks for always being the person I could talk or rant to. So many people don't understand how I've had the same best friend since the first grade, and I tell them that it's simple. It also doesn't help that our schools are in completely different states and roughly 483 miles apart. Going to class every day and not seeing your face was so different for me. Going out and not being able to hang out with you the next morning and sit on the floor recapping every detail was hard to get used to. It's even hard to get used to the fact that we don't have time to call each other daily and really catch up on each other's lives. I was so worried that college would bring us apart. Being faced with a whole new environment with tons of new friends and a brand new routine was a little scary considering the fact that you wouldn't be there to experience it all with me. Now, as second semester sophomores in college, I can honestly say that all the fears and doubts that I had were so unnecessary. College has not brought us apart whatsoever; it may have even brought us closer together. We can come back from weeks, even months without seeing each other and pick up exactly where we left off. I am so thankful for that. I consider myself blessed to have found you, as "my person" and someone that I know I can always count on. That being said, I hope you know that even though we are so far apart, if you ever needed anything I would drop everything to be there for you. I am only a phone call or a FaceTime away. I want you to know that even as we grow up and start to discover who we really are and who we want to be in this world, that I will always be here for you. An Open Letter from Your Guardian Angel Dear tose my best friend I’d like to first start by telling you, how proud I am of you. You have overcome so much in such a short period of time. The person you are today is the person I always knew you could be, but your growth does not stop here. I also would like to apologize, while I wish I could have stayed with you, you must know it wasn’t my choice to leave. Oh how I wish, we had one more day together. How I wish you could hear my voice in more than a memory. But I would like you to know a few things. First, even though you don’t see me, I walk along side you every day.
