In February1953 , when South Holland flooded, Papa took his truck and helped ferry people out of danger. Mum and I huddled by the fire and listened to the news on the radio. It was the day of my 4th birthday.

13 years agoI remember Opa used to do this thing where he would blow into his thumb and gradually as he blew, his bicep muscle would enlarge - at the age of 5 I thought it was magic! Rest in peace now Opa.
