Four years after the BHC refused me an entry visa yet again, i decided to re-apply. I wanted to do it on my own but was advised by a good friend to at least allow someone in britain give me a recommendation. That person turned out to be Mr kila (As i fondly call him). He provided all the necessary documents without even meeting me. I didnt know him from Adams. Luckily, I was issued the Visa. I try to get in touch each time I travel and when I dont, he calls my friend to complain. I mean, thats just how nice he was. I never had the chance to see him face to face. Mr Kila, Rest in peace, I will definitely remember you in my prayers till we meet again to part no more! Afolake Oba-Kasumu

It’s not easy to pay tribute to somebody who’s very popular, well-loved and respected, an icon, a legend and most of all a very close, dear friend. I have been seated in front of my computer for almost an hour now facing a blank page trying to muster the right words that would befit a “not so ordinary man” for a final tribute.
