A man filled with so much love & devotion to his family & friends. A truly unique human being, & although it's almost four years since he left us, the loss is still so deep. I miss him so very much, & think of him constantly. A wonderful Father, loved by all, & so much by his daughter!

It's three years today since your passing. I often hear your voice and speak to you in my mind when I look at your picture in my lounge room or just going about my day. You were a wonderful grandfather and I miss you.

Gone from this earth, but not from my heart. The void you've left can never be filled, but the memories are beautiful. I miss you so much Dad!!

Grandpa - how sweet it would have been to hear your voice and wish you for what would have been your 93rd birthday. You and I always shared a birthday season" together. I miss you very much but you watch me from my mantlepiece, I read of your adventures in books, eat the food you ate in Burma and try to remember some of the traditions you kept. Through it all I continue to hold you fast in my memory. You are alive and well in we who loved you so. From your Grandson #1."

Does anybody know the whereabouts of Francess Wright who I knew in Germany in the 60's and who was at my wedding in !968. Would be nice to hear from her and to catch up with what has happened in our lives in the past 40 years and yes I'm still married to Ann. Would be great if somebody could help me. Thank you.

A couple of years ago, I finally had the pleasure of meeting thoughtful, intelligent, affectionate and nostalgic Saul after years of correspondence. His memories provided insights into the experience of the Jews of Burma, and because of him those days long ago in Mandalay are now available to the world and to history. My sorrow, of course, is that he did not live to hold in his hands the book he helped so much to create, but now it will be a memorial to him and a memoir for his beloved grandchildren and other peoples' grandchildren. When I came to Australia, I understood even more his joy at sharing his life with Fortune, as well as his pride in his family. I consider myself very fortunate indeed to have met, discussed and laughed with this charming, warm and very wonderful man and his equally wonderful and loving wife. Although far away, I still fell very close to everyone I met in beautiful Sydney, and my heart will always have a place for both Saul and Fortune.

You were always larger than life to me. A man from the old school" impeccably dressed, polite yet so dynamic that you could hold a gathering of people in the palm of your hand! As a child the stories of your experiences fascinated me and as an adult your advice was always sought when making decisions. We both shared a love of tennis and the times we played together although few are cherished by me. It was always a pleasure to be with you, be in your house and share the many Friday nights we did as a family. In my eyes you were the head of our family and you are missed and loved by us all."

I remember when I was young looking forward to Uncle Saul's visits. He would always have a new trick or joke or story to delight us children with. As I grew, I admired his easy charm, and the warmth of his affection. He was always interested, and he always remembered. I remember his polished shoes, cravats and easy smile which could light up a room when he walked in.

Saul was in our lives for well over 50 years, in the case of Edna, and Alan knew him from the age of six. He was always there for us and his wisdom and advice was greatly sought after by the two of us. He was loved by our children Hila and David and he will always be in our minds and hearts. Saul loved his tennis, and Alan will always remember the fun times they had playing tennis every Sunday for many, many years. He had such a great sense of humour and the tricks he did for all of the children for years delighted them all. Our son David loved wood, and for his Barmitzvah, Saul said that he would give him a ton of wood , and David said yes until he realized that there was nowhere to store it, so he took the money instead. Saul was such a great part of our lives, which were greatly enriched by our closeness to him and we will miss him always.

Saul was very much loved by us all. He had a wonderful sense of humour and touched the lives of all who met him. I know I've lost a very good friend while Heaven" has gained a great man!"

Sincere condolences at the passing of Saul Ezra Saul, who was such a kind, hospitable, knowledgeable man. Warm greetings to Fortune, Mark, and other relatives. We had been hoping to invite Saul to the launch of our CD of recordings of Baghdadi-Jewish music this month. He'll surely be there in spirit. Margaret and Dris Kartomi

My darling Dad, All the words expressing our love and respect for each other have been spoken and written. There are no more words. We always understood the special bond that exists between us. We were there for each other. We never had any doubts. Yet, I so long to watch your face light up when you see me. I long to kiss your cheek and to kiss your forehead; to stroke your beautiful hair; to smell your unique fragrance; to feel your hand in my hand. I want hear your voice and hear your laugh and see the love in your eyes. I still need your advice. We shared our time together. You and me. Father and son.
