Saeed jon -e- azeez. This was very unexpected, and you left us too soon. I won't forget your smiling face and happy demeanor, and the many fine memories in Dubai (in class, in school yard, etc). It was very fortunate that we could reconnect in Houston too. Our thoughts are with your family. God give them patience and fortitude.

I met Saeid in 1992 while attending University of Houston. We used to hang out often at the university center (UC) during weekdays, on weekends the hang out was Ali Shahen and his brothers' house in Clear Lake. We all were young and greatly enjoyed being around each other. I look back fondly at all the times we spent playing volleyball, ping pong, soccer, basketball, going to the lake on picnics, and just hanging out watching comedy shows. Saeid had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face which reflected his happy spirit. I will never forget the time he used a fake name which had more letters than the enitre alphabet to get out of a ticket at UH, and the times he teased me about slip & fall cases. Rest in peace my friend, I will never forget you.

Saeid & I were room mates and were really in bad way financially due to our international student college tuition. We were working valet (parking cars) at night so we had the days for school. What ever money we made a particular night we took our salary from it and gave the rest to our boss (at that time Hassan Shirani). Well Hassan saw us so seldom that we would sometimes have a week or two of his money with us before we would turn it over to him when we saw him next. For a lack of a better place to hide the stacks of money (usually bunch of dollar bills), I would hide them under the old brown couch we shared in our apartment's living room. During one of our rare days were we both decided to clean the apartment, I came across a stack of money under the couch that must have been around $120. Well it was Hassan's and it was obvious that he had not missed it because it was dated from four month past. I asked Saeid to page Hassan & gave him the stack to take to him since he was going to see him that night. I can not confirm nor deny that Saeid did give that stack to our boss that night, but I can say that the day after, he came home with a refrigerator full of food and goodies. I had never seem my refrigerator that full & I was not complaining one bit! Thanks Saeid for the food. We sure did enjoy it.

HI SAEID. I KNOW YOU ARE DOING WELL. I DON'T WANT YOU TO WORRY ABOUT US, WE ARE ALRIGHT AND MISS YOU GREATLY. JUST WANTED TO SHARE SOME OF THE MEMORIES WE SHARED TO RELIVE THEM ONE MORE TIME. I WAS THINKING OF THE TIME WE WERE ROOM MATES & WERE IN THAT TERRIBLE CAR ACCIDENT. REMEMBER IT WAS A SUNDAY & YOU WERE THROWING A SURPRISE PARTY FOR ME (I HAD JUST BEEN ACCEPTED INTO COLLEGE OF PHARMACY) & NOT TO MY SURPRISE, YOU HAD FORGOTTEN TO GET THE SODAS, CHIPS, FOOD, CUPS, PLATES..... AND WE HAD GONE OUT TOGETHER IN MY BROWN 82' COROLLA TO GET THE SUPPLIES FOR THE PARTY. ON THE WAY BACK WE WERE LISTENING TO KLF'S THE WHITE ROOM TAPE (YOUR FAVORITE AT THE TIME) WHEN WE REAR ENDED THAT BIG OLD CHEVY TRUCK SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE LAST THING I REMEMBER BEFORE HITTING THE TRUCK I REMEMBER SEEING A GUY & A GIRL IN THE TRUCK & YOU SAID "HEY LOOK, THEY ARE KISSING EACH OTHER IN THE TRUCK". WELL I HAD MY SEAT BELT BUT STILL MANAGED TO HIT THE REAR BUMPER OF THE TRUCK WITH MY FACE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD. HOWEVER YOU NEVER WORE SEAT BELTS THEN. AS A REFLEX REACTION I REACHED OVER WITH MY RIGHT ARM TO HOLD YOU BACK JUST BEFORE THE IMPACT BUT YOU WERE NOT IN YOUR SEAT ANY MORE. I THOUGHT OH MY GOD, SAEID GOT EJECTED THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD AND IS PROBABLY IN THE TRUCK OR ON THE STREET. BUT NO, YOU HAD GONE INTO A FETAL POSITION AND SOMEHOW FIT YOUR 260 LB BODY INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE UNDER DASH (WHERE YOU WOULD NORMALLY REST YOUR FEET. SAEID, JUST BEFORE I PASSED OUT I DO REMEMBER THAT IT WAS YOU THAT PULLED ME OUT OF THAT HEAP OF TWISTED METAL. AND YES SAEID I DO REMEMBER THAT IT WAS YOU THAT KEPT COMING TO SEE ME IN THE HOSPITAL (EVEN THOUGH I WAS IN & OUT OF CONSCIOUS FOR A FEW DAYS). I KNOW YOU STILL REMEMBER THAT SIX MONTH AFTER THAT ACCIDENT, WHEN WE WERE IN HOSSAIN, ALI, & FATOLLAH'S CLEAR LAKE HOUSE, I ASKED YOU WHY YOU KEPT SCRATCHING THE SIDE OF YOU HAND. THAT'S WHEN YOU SHOWED ME THE ABNORMAL BUMP YOU KEPT SCRATCHING. I CAN NOT FORGET WHEN I STARTED TO OPEN THE SKIN IN THAT AREA TO SEE IF I CAN GET THE SWELLING TO GO DOWN, & TO MY SURPRISE I PULLED OUT A 1/2 INCH SQUARE PIECE OF GLASS FROM YOUR HAND THAT YOU HAD IN YOU SINCE THE ACCIDENT!!! THE WORST PART WAS THAT YOU JUST SAID "OH SO THAT'S WHAT WAS IN THERE". YEAH, YOU ALWAYS DID HAVE THE TOLERANCE FOR PAIN AND THE EASY GOING DEMEANOR TO SHRUG PROBLEMS OFF AND NOT CARE TO STRESS OVER THEM TOO MUCH. WELL BUDDY DON'T WORRY ABOUT US AND KEEP THAT GREAT ATTITUDE OF YOURS GOING WE ARE GOING TO SEE YOU IN THE FUTURE & MAKE SOME NEW MEMORIES. YOUR DEVOTED FRIEND.

I first met Saeid in 1993 when i moved to Houston. I will never forget his infectious smile and funny jokes. The weekends that were spent at the Clear lake house were so memorable! The times when we all went to play Basketball were so funny bc he used to always make a funny sound everytime somebody missed a shot! The time when Fati made his infamous Fatiuccuni in which Saeid said "if you eat one bite you will gain 10 pounds and if you eat two bites than you will have a heart attack!!". those moments were priceless!! I will never forget you my friend! A great person who simply just left us way too soon!! You will be missed!

My heart is thankful for the memories we have made together. I cherish everyday we have shared. If I could write a story it would be the best one ever told. Saeid was a loving husband and a great father who had a heart of gold. If I could write a million pages still unable to say how much I love and miss him every single day
