Ruth Enge's door was always open to us refo kids on the block. My parents were post war and Stalinist refugees and we were latch key kids. Ruth welcomed us as we played with Barbara. May God hold you in the palm of his hands.
My memory of Ruth was that she was consderate with her words and order was the way. Ruth helped my parents - Zoltan and Veronika Gervay - when they landed in Pagewood in 1949 after migrating from Europe. Ruth's daughter Barbara was to become a neighbourhood playmate . With sympathy I send my wishes to all the family members. How wonderful for Ruth to have seen her children married, her grandchildren, and all those great grandchildren arrive into this world.
I have many memories of Ruth Enge from my childhood and they include that she was a loving and protective Mum. Ruth was very organised, hard working and kind, had chooks in her backyard and organised great kid's parties.
