My dad Norman was a very good friend of Bruce and Jean, we would visit the family many times over the years and play with Helen and Rod. Dad would tell us stories of him, Bruce and Fred, always up to some mischief. Sadly my dad died Feb 2nd 2007, mum (Doreen) 26th April 2010. Freddy rang me today, was sad that his old friend had gone. Bruce has been a wonderful friend to my mother and her family for the last few years. He was a good and loyal man who enjoyed visiting RSLs for dinner, travelling and fiddling with gadgets (like most men). Bruce spent many years of his retirement as a "lollipop man" at St Ives North Primary School, a task to which he was dedicated, rarely missing a day. He loved being greeted by the children as they would arrive or leave school. Bruce was also a member of his local Presbyterian Church, St Andrews and of the Rotary Club. We will all miss Bruce. Bernadette, Terry, Alison and Ian.
