Phil, you have been such a special friend since '82, all those "PC specials" you made went down a treat :) The laughs and good times I will always treasure. Your positive outlook and determination has been inspirational! I am sure you would have found a "bench press" up there. Thank you for your friendship, will miss you. Caroline Oliver (Baxter)

Phil . . . Always welcoming and genuinely interested in all of the broader family, made visiting Larraine, Phil and Anton a joy and something to look forward to. Sadly our busy lives have slowed up the family gatherings and visits are too few and far between. Larraine and Anton our love and best wishes are with you. We would love to be there with you all this week. Please fit in a visit to Creswick when next down south. Love always, Kathryn, Mark and the family

I am truly blessed to have spent a week in Fiji with Phil just recently and witness the caring, love and devotion from his loving wife Lorraine and son Anton. He wasn't well but made a courageous trip to be with Callum and Sally for their wedding. Anton kept a watchful eye on him at all times and would say "Dad are you okay" and Phil would reply "yes son". Phil had the ability to hold everyones attention when telling a story and sometimes would take forever and Lorraine used to say "Come on Phil get it out" and we would laugh so much. I was just looking at some videos he took over the years and he used to love capturing events with family and friends and occasionally he would surprise us with a shot of a females bottom. If I ever wanted to find something out I could always ask Phil as his knowledge was so vast. He used to get up early in the morning and read the papers online. Phil was a devoted husband and father and I remember so clearly when Lorriane (with a few tear drops) said he is the "LOVE OF MY LIFE". I'm getting goose bumps and feeling very emotional when I write this as I am so saddened by his loss not only for me but Lorraine and Anton and all friends and family that knew him and loved him so much. Rest in peace my friend. You will never be forgotten

Phil, I remember meeting you, Lorraine and Anton for the first time at an Osciak Christmas many years ago. I distinctly remember your kind face amongst the slightly overwhelming crowd of potential new family. When we were introduced I could tell straight away that you were a lovely man and that we would get on well! By the end of Christmas lunch my assumptions had been confirmed, you were a great conversationalist, funny and brimming with kindness. Throughout the years, although we didn’t see you as much as we would have like – you were consistently that kind face, that great person to chat with, the person that I looked forward to seeing. Your absence has left a huge hole in the hearts of everyone who cared for you, none more so than your beautiful wife and son. Rest assured that the family will be there to comfort and support them as best as we can. Phil, thanks for all the great memories, you will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Love Amanda.

I didn't see you very often, but I'll remember when I did. You were a friendly, generous man who did everything for Lorraine and Anton. For such a great guy, it's a real heartache to see you go.

You are one of the strongest people I know, you really surprised me as you looked like 48 years old :) You were always respectful, strong and a real family man. We all miss you!
