mt scopus college 40yr gone speach night ,melbourne town hall ,and a piano I can never think about Mt Scopus without the name Nehama Patkin and when I read about her death I was shocked to say the least I never met her spoke to her on the phone or even saw a recent photo of her but still I felt the family loss She was Mt Scopus when I attended and will always will be for me may her sole rest in peace and may her life never be forgotten from the golan heights rozi kowadlo

Nehama was my colleague, my co-performer, my soul mate, my closest friend. From the first time I saw her inspiring teaching, to when she helped me with my own piano technique problems, to when we started to play concerts together, to the joyous singing and playing at parties - little by little, we'd suddenly shared half a lifetime. Sometimes, we'd see three or four concerts or shows in a week, but there was always time to have dinner with yet one more remarkable person that she'd never been too busy to collect on the way. She had the true artist's respect for achievement and ability in all it's forms, and was always passionate about connecting these people with one another. Nehama was my most devoted friend, constantly helping me through my own time in hospital and rehab - she was always there for me. Even in the years before that, her friendship and her professional respect helped make me the musician and teacher that I am today. Nehama, we owe so much to you - I can't imagine who I'd have been without you.
