I was just thinking of DR Arnold, what an amazing and inspiring Doctor and women she was . I was a sole parent out at Corio at the time and suffering abuse and anorexia, she took me in hand and made me whole again . Telling me I can do better with my life, she was right , I managed to go on buying a house and working full time . I used to cry so much she bought me waterproof mascara, I followed her to her other placements she chose to go , till I moved to Qld . You have always been in my thoughts , thank you for my life . Sadly missed . Victoria

Overcome with sudden sadness reading Dr Meredith Arnold is no longer with us. I was a young girl of 15 and 16 when I first started seeing Dr Arnold, nearly 30 years ago at the Corio Community Health Centre when I lived in Geelong. Having no parents, Dr Arnold spent a lot of time working with me to ensure I remained okay, found me a place to live, gave me guidance and direction for the future where no one else had. Such an Intelligent, kind, caring and generous lady with so much compassion for everyone, she helped so many people in more ways then she would have known and she was so popular with the community. Meredith was a truly brilliant, lovely and genuine individual which is such a rarity to find in people today, the world needs more “Meredith Arnold’s” in the world. I incorporated your advice into my life as the years went by and everything you told me about the future and life was so true, you were right. It is difficult to comprehend “WHY” you are no longer here, had hoped to see you again. Dr Arnold, thank you for our chats and the help you gave, I will always Remember you! Condolences to Meredith’s family, although it has been over 3 years. No name left due to the personal nature.

Such sad news which shocked me to the bone to hear of her passing. I first met Meredith whilst at CCHC as her 17yr old receptionist. She was so kind and helpful. I moved onto pathology at Geelong Hosp where I met her lovely husband. Meredith became my doctor and looked after me whilst pregnant. Her referral to Garnett like herself I found him wonderful. Meredith held my hand when we lost our first child and held my hand when our second child was quite sick. A few years ago my husband bumped into Meredith through his work at the Child protection section of QLD police. Meredith was going to try and catch up but unfortunately we never did. A wonderful and caring person will truely be missed by all who met her. My deepest sympathy to Gary and family. Julie Stacey (Dye)
