Too many weeks have passed since you were taken away from your beautiful family Matthew. It feels so surreal, I'm in pain and my heart has been shattered from this tragic accident. Our street will never be the same without you, no matter how much I try. I don't understand why it was you and I don't think I ever will, you were so close to home! I'm not sure if you realised but you and your beautiful girls have had a huge impact on my life and I will never forget this! I'd do absolutely anything in the world to make Jo and the girls happy again, absolutely anything and I mean it! I promise you Matty from the bottom of my heart, I will always be their for your girls no matter what! It kills me when I see Jo going through this heartache of losing someone and seeing such a beautiful family that I love so much, being torn apart by this unbelievable nightmare. I'm sure Matty, you will always be watching over Jo, Charlotte and Lauren as they grow old and every step of the way through life. Always on my mind, forever in my heart and never forgotton! Thanks for the memories. Rest In Peace Matthew Peter Vinen ♥ 18/10/1971 - 1/9/2010, so young to be gone!

Although we had not seen each other for quite a while for reasons still unknown, let it be known that you, Jo and the girls were not forgotten nor will ever be. I will always remember helping you when we were groing up moving from flat to flat when you were so young that you didn't know why had to keep moving. Seeing you grow up into a loving husband and father chuffed me to no end. We will look after Jo and the girls as best we can. See you sometime in the future. Wherever you are now, make veryone laugh. Love from your big brother. David Vinen
Well i did not know Matthew all that well but knew his beautiful wife Jo-Anne to whom i worked with many years ago.It is very sad news and i am ever so sorry My memory of Matt is driving Jo and myself to the RSL at katoomba on a very cold and foggy night in my beep beep Barina . He was great. Dropping us off and picking us up after way too much to drink. A real gentleman. Thinking of you Jo - Anne xo Sharon Chalker (Smith )
You will be dearly missed mate. We loved every moment catching up with you. My dearest memory of you was on your wedding day, your love for Jo-Anne shone through you and always will. You will be deeply missed. The Gillhams.
You will be missed by your family & friends. Rest in Peace
So many memories, but by far my favourite was when performaing a gig at the Star Hotel, Macksville, NSW, with my band "Wilba". Matt and Jo came down from Nambucca Heads to see us play. It was a busy night, a lot of punters having a great time. Front and centre was Matt, moshing, doing the pogo, goin' nuts, havin' a ball! So glad I got to catch up with Matt a couple of weeks ago. So sad about what's happened. Will Weir
