It is with great sadness that I have come to discover of Lynn's death last year. Being on the other side of the country for the last few years, and not particularly techno, I have just heard of this deep sorrow for Delcene & Michael, and the family. You are in our prayers, as, however much her passing may have been expected, she is irreplaceable, and continuing to build and re-build your lives without her will be most difficult. The banter I got to share with her was always lively, and I (and many others looked forward to it). At the same time, she was so deeply caring, and so willing to convert her compassion into action. A real servant, from whom so many benefitted. Many times I gave thanks for her and what she did for so many. To all who knew & loved her so much more than us, especially Delcene & Michael - continue to cherish her memory, as we Gozzies will here in the NW. Much love and many prayers from the Goscombes. PS I'm sorry there wasn't a Swannies emblem i could put up here for the piccie. I remember how happy she was when I got her a signed jersey for her beloved Swans.

Lynnete had such a profound affect on my life. She was a larger than life person who gave her all to everyone. She shared her home and family with me over many years. Although we had not been in contact in recent years she was never out of my thoughts and heart. Sincere condolences to Delcene, Elizabeth, Margaret and Michael as well as the broader Grant and Griffiths families. Jakki and Alex Crellin

Character, determination and passion are words that go well when describing Lyn. Responsible for so many fundraising and extra events and activities, her behind the scenes input and time were the catalyst for the success of the clubs on-field and off-field success. Never one to hide behind anything, Lyn could always be found standing up for the best outcome for the club and the children. Lyn's legacy will live long with many improvements made to Greygums Oval can be attributed to her hard work and persistence. The Penrith Swans Junior Australian Football Club is a better place thanks to Lyn. Lyn was awarded Life Membership. That honor being well deserved and a pleasure to present. Joe and I got to know Lyn through our involvement with the Rams senior club...at the time Lyn was pretty heavily involved with the Juniors at committee level plus numerous other things to do with the club. What a wonderful lady!! Her positive outlook in the face of adversity was an inspiration. She made such beautiful scarves, beanies etc. for people to buy and donated all proceeds to the Junior club. I bought several for our family. Lyn was such a generous person and she will be very sadly missed by all who had the privilage of knowing her. Sue and Joe Bradley

During our family's involvement with the Penrith Swans Junior AFL club Lyn was a mentor to so many children and their parents. She will be long remembered for her role as Auskick Coordinator and was responsible for so many of the young ones coming to love being involved with football and staying on because she would take the time to recognise each and everyone of the Auskickers. She earned the nickname as the 'Scarf Lady' and was a visible emblem of the club each Saturday at Greygums Oval. Behind the scene she dedicated a lot of time to the successful running of the club and was passionate for whatever was best for the children. Lyn's support for Jene and I in whatever position we held at the club made our time there more enjoyable. Scott, Jene and Brendan Duffus
