You closed your eyes and went to sleep this time your heart forgot to beat so god he came, wrapped you up with love and prepared you for the world above. We stood beside you with tears in our eyes you watched as we said our final good-byes we touched your face and kissed your head 0nly from one where no tears to be shed your son he stood at the front of the crowd so strong, granny i know you'd have been proud full of emotions yet he stood so tall "be happy for her" he told us one and all Hope you liked your flowers granny, we picked them out with care and placed them at your graveside knowing you'd always be there Your wains all miss you granny my mummy and your grand wains too but mine were all so young granny it hurts knowing they'll not remember you But "by god" i've got stories! and momento's that will never stray!! i'll tell them about my mad granny so they'll know you when they meet you some day!! A month ago we lost you a month ago we cried a month now with heavy hearts and a gaping hole inside Granny, we'll remember you always and to you now i will pray for you will always be near me until we meet "on the other side" one day!

How long can we live on memories How long can we live on dreams How long can we go on hoping? When things aren’t what they seem? How long must we go on pretending? How long can we smile? The answer is a simple one ~ How long ~ is quite a while ~ Martina Boyce.

We’re lonely; but not alone; if we could only see Past the doubts and fears within our hearts; we would clearly see All those who care for us gathered round circling us with love And Mum’s the Angel right beside us; sent from God above Mum knows we’re feeling sad and lost as we face each brand new day Please know we never have to be alone; She’s just a ~ prayer ~ away She’ll stay with us through our troubles; and be there to share our smiles She’ll make the steps we take back in inches; the ones we take forward in miles Life’s not easy; no-one said it was but of one thought don’t loose sight She’ll be the cushion when we fall; in our darkness She’s the light She can’t promise we’ll be happy; but She can give us hope She can’t take away our troubles; but She can give us strength to cope So when things get on top of us; when we’re lost and feeling down Just look to the right of us; that’s where She can be found Shining down on us and praying; and if we believe with all our hearts She’ll be with us all the way; we will never be apart Mums gift to us is ~ Faith ~ and while it may not dry our tears It will help to bring us smiles and wash away our fears Whisper Mums name when we need Her; she’ll be right by our side God will let Mum be our Angel; to love; protect and guide Martina Boyce.

Growing up Mum loved Tom Jones and I loved Englebert Humperdink ( thank goodness I grew out of that taste in music..!! ) Mum would buy the latest Tom Jones for herself and she'd buy me Engleberts latest record for my birthday; we had a huge thing called a Grammaphone we played records and LP's on. We thought we were very posh..hehe.!! We argued (playfully) about which of them was the best; I ve put the green; green grass of home video on as it was one of Mums favourites. The other video by Tanya Tucker is sad but these are sad times.

One of my fondest memories is when I told Mum I was expecting my first child; she went out and bought a yellow baby nest; filled in the gift card - from Granny - and said she'd add the babies name when it was born.! She was deighted and couldn't wait to be a Granny..
