The word genius is used too easily thses days, but 1 man lived up to that title. Jeff Healey is the reason i wanted to learn guitar, learn about rock n blues music and enjoy live.He is an inspiration to millions and the world is worse off for his loss.Jeff healey inspired me and will continue to inspire others in the future and its that comforting thought and memories we have that will mean his legacy will always live on.

I became a fan of Jeff after seeing him live on the Movie Roadhouse. His voice was unique and guitar playing fantastic. My condolences to his family. I can relate to their pain as my family almost lost me to Leukaemia. He will be greatly missed by all.

When he hit that one chord in the begining of "Live from London" it makes me shiver. An amazing talent, we've lost a great one. Damn they must have a hell of a band up there.

I remember seeing him for the first time at the Corral in Grande Prairie Alberta Canada. After witnessing an amazing guitar rock show, i got the chance to meet hima dn have him sign my "Cover to Cover" album. The best way to end the night was to have a beer and chat with him. Jeff has been a great musical inspiration to me and the very reason i started playing guitar. To have someone with his disability play a guitar like that is very motivational and proves that you don't need eyes to "see" the music. I will deeply miss my friend, and thanks for helping me "See the light"

I remember seeing him on Roadhouse, he was so fine. I wished I could have been the woman he was singing "Angel eyes" to. I was so shocked to hear of his death. I will miss him. I am listening to "Angel eyes" right now.

I woke up one night to a blistering guitar solo being played on the David Letterman Show, it was Jeff Healey. I'm gonna guess and say it was 1986 or 87. The very next Christmas my wife bought me a Fender (Squire) Strat, just like Jeffs. Years later Jeff played at The Deadwood Jam in the early 2000s and there I was all those years later on the front row watching my hero. After the show I had a feeling that Jeff was in the Ole Number Nine Saloon,however when I arrived I was the first person that they did not allow in, the bar was full capacity. As I walked away a bit dejected there was Jeffs bus right on the corner. I was looking it over when a man came out and asked me if I wanted to look inside. I said that I would love to, and I did just that. What a great inspiration for all of us who got to see Jeff play. I still listen to him usually on DVD on a great sound system that I am blessed to have. I will miss you Jeff and think of you often for the rest of my life. Jackie Dymond--Gillette Wyoming

I first met Jeff way back when he was still an unknown phenominon. My friend Diana B. and her band were part of a Blues Jam at The Old Brunswick House along with 5 other Blues Bands, including the Jeff Healey Band. He blew me away when he stood from his chair with his guitar still stuck to his lap and he was wailing; I mean he was putting down some serious licks!! AWESOME!! I think that we (as Blues/Jazz enthusiasts and musicians) should ALL show our appreciation for a Great Musician, An Innovator, A Great Torontonian, A Great Canadian, A true Guitar Hero, A Blues Ambassador to the World and an all round NICE GUY. This man has done so much for the music industry in Toronto and in Canada in general, that I think that this should be celebrated. Sorely, he will be missed! My heart goes out to his wife Cristie, his children, his extended family and his bandmates. May god bless you ALL! Robert L.

Some People come along once in a lifetime that leave such an Impression. Jeff was one of those Persons for me. Talented, gifted Musician didn't let anything hold him down. He seeked and full filled his Destiny. I only hope that his Memory lives on for you as it will for me. A bright shining star in the sky at night. That's how I'm going to remember him. Karma is strange. I didn't know that he was ill and now Patrick Swayze is sick with Cancer as well. Road House is one of my all time favorite Movies. R.I..P. Jeff you will be remembered !!!

I just learned of the untimely passing of one of the most inspirational human beings of our time. Not only is your life celebrated through music but through your beautiful children. I admire the man you were not only because of the challenges you faced but the way you continued to pursue your true ambition in life. As a father of 2 young children I can only be thankful for every day i get to spend with them as im sure you did. I first saw Jeff Healey in Roadhouse Blues and I have been a fan ever since. He was a true inspiration and played his music with deep feeling. I am sure that Jeff and Stevie Ray Vaughn are jamming once again. RIP Jeff Healey.

I have been afirm fan and admirer of him and the band,it,s very sad loss.

My wife and I were at one of Jeff's last performances at the Roadhouse in January,at the end of his short set he as usual threw away his pick,it landed right at my feet.I guess now that will be a little token to help remember all the wonderful Saturday afternoons we spent at Healey's and the Roadhouse over the past few years. Our deepest condolences to Christie and the children as well as the rest of Jeff's family and bandmates.

As a player he was my inspiration this is a sad day jeff,s music will continue to live on and inspire others as he has done me and countless others my condolences go to his family at this time

It's sad and unfortunate how the best influential guitarists get taken away from us so young. From Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Randy Rhoades and now Jeff Healey - a terrible loss to the music industry and music lovers around the world. I remember seeing Jeff on TV with his See the Light video and thought, "man I wish I could play just 1% as good as him". My biggest regret is that I did not catch Jeff's live show when he played Montreal years back. I will have to visit his club when I'm in Toronto. Thanks for all the great music you've left us! I just learned of his unfortunate death recently and I am shocked! Jeff showed us what can be done in spite of limitations. He really woke me up! He was awesome!!

I can't believe Ive just heard about this. I thought Id heard something earlier, but I didnt want to believe it. I guess when something like this happens, you realize that you'ver got your head up your ass and should have been paying attention. We saw Jeff Healey play twice once in London (the Hammersmith Appollo I think ) and at the Colston Hall Bristol . We had a few of his albums . I first heard Jeff Heally on the Paul Jones radio blues show ,must have been in the eighties .He was a brilliant guitarist .A very sad loss indeed

i remember seeing road house for the first time. my uncle was in that bar an extra he got me a pic from mr jeff healy him self and then when he came to calgary in the late late 80s i got back stage pass. in loving memory of the late jeff healy 1966-2008
