I had the honour of meeting Jeef back in 84-85 at the grossman's tavern, when the Jeff Healey band was just starting, I was then going out with drummer Tom Stephen . Jeff was sweet and truly beautiful.I sended him an e-mail last year it was just a short hello wishing him well when he had his operation and he respond back saying that maybe one day he will visit Montreal and he was happy to hear that I was doing well with my life and my art gallery.Jeff you have left a place in my heart I will never forget how wonderful you were. Thinking of his family as they grieve his loss, but he will live on in the hearts and memories of all who had the priviledge of knowing him. REST IN PEACE.

"Angel Eyes" has always been the coolest slow rock music - thank you for all the fondest memories, God Bless!

I never got to see Jeff play live, but I listened to and still do to this day his music. His music was a positive force to me when I was in High School. His sound and words brought me so much happiness, and is one of the reasons I started to leran how to play guitar. The way he played was amazing, and he just went and showed that no matter what your disability is you can do whatever you set your mind to. He will be greatly missed, but I know that we will see him again, because of the promise through Jehovah God, of the great resurection!

The best canadian jazz man ,never saw him play live but listened to his music.

A massively talented guitarist .Sadly I never saw him play live but I heard his music and he blew me away.

I saw him in concert when 'See the light' first came out - astounding playing from beginning to end - he's up there with the best - Listened to his jazz concert recording on the CBC a few days before his passing - wonderful swinging music - you'd never know that he was battling a terminal illness... a big loss for the music world...

I had seen Jeff live 3 times and never have I seen a concert where someone gave as much to an audience as Jeff did, both singing and playing. The light just got a little dimmer in the music world.

The sound of your guitar on earth will be missed so much. You are now part of the best band ever in heaven. Love to your family.

My condolences to Jeff's family...I did not know him but I LOVED his music!!

Jeff you will be sadly missed. Your music had a profound impact on my life and sparked my interest in the blues and playing the guitar. Your music was like no other. Your guitar playing showed passion and heart. It made you want to learn how to play the guitar. I’ve listened to a lot of music over the years and a lot o great guitarist but in my eyes there is no one who seemed to capture that passion and style as well as you did. From the first time I heard “Angel Eyes” on the radio here in the US I was hooked. It inspired me to buy “See the light” and it left me waiting eagerly these past twenty years for each follow up release. “Get me some” is one of my favorite albums of all time. Your guitar playing and melodic pop tunes where amazing on it. This is a sad day in so many ways. You where an icon to many an inspiration and a hero to me in so many ways and hopefully this wall offer a bright smile to your family and loved ones during these difficult times. I hope your legacy lives on so others may listen to the music that so inspired me.

"Angel Eyes" was our first dance at our wedding in 1992. The band learned the song for us and made it a part of their permanent song list.

Jeff Signed My Stratocaster At The Brook In Southampton,I Will Treasure The Moment For Ever,One Of The All Time Greats.A Proper Blues Rock Legend Who Will Be Sadly Missed By Everybody Who Ever Heard His Music...

We are very lucky and honoured to enjoying his wonderful talent.
I loved his music and he was an inspiration to all.

Jeff you are still an inspiration to many of us and will be sorely missed. May you rest in peace.

Jeff, you will be greatly missed by your family and friends. We had the opportunity to meet you at your sister Linda's wedding and another time when you came to our home at Christmas. Our thoughts are with your family at this time of loss and sorrow.

I'm crushed. We'll miss you Jeff.

The first I ever saw him was when I was in high school. It was the movie Roadhouse. I had no idea who he was at the time, let alone that he was actually blind. I fell in love with the song, When the Night Comes Falling. I have been hooked ever since. He was truely talented and will be TERRIBLY missed.
