Having followed Jade over the last few years, I went from grudging admiration to realising what an inspirational woman she was. As a mother I respect her dedication to her sons and her desire to do whatever it took to ensure their wellbeing after her death. In life she was a warm and engaging person and if I had to choose to invite one celebrity guest to dinner it would have to be Jade. The sheer determination to make a success of her life and to count for something and make a difference deserves recognition. Because Jade allowed us into her life, millions feel like they know her and have lost a good friend. I will miss her sunny smile, her vulnerability and her outspoken frankness. My heartfeld sympathy goes out to her family and her friends who loved her for the beautiful person she was. They have lost a precious gem and we have lost one of the most honest and relevant people since Diana died. In honour of Jade, I will face my fear of having a cervical smear test. She may not have started out with the intention of leaving a lasting and permanent legacy, but she has done so with grace and will always have my utmost respect.

Its such a sad loss of such a short life,but she has made us all laugh and even cry...such an amazing person and a wonderful mum to her two sons.
