Our growing up in Valla was only a brief moment in our lives but my occasional contact with Ivor have left a great impression on myself and my family as he stood out in the crowd. He was so willing to please and be a generally nice bloke to all who came by his path. His childhood dream before entering school became a reality which touched many people. No one could ever ask for a better Instructor - Patient, caring, knowledgable, selfless, intuitive, cool, calm and collected. I don't think anyone could find any more of a Man - devoted family man, tender, kind, gentle, selfless and desiring the best for his students, the industry and his family. How often can you find a friend, a family man and a legend in one man? Most of us fail at being anything to anyone. Brother Ivor, you are an inspiration - a reminder that we can all be so much better - more patient, less angry and more loving. I will forever remember the flight lessons, the lunches, coffees and chats. A hope there is a time when I get to meet you again, shake your hand and give you a hug - It is for this moment and all the future ones with your family that I hope there is an afterlife. Until that time and beyond I hope your family finds all of the love you bestowed on us. May there only be peace, connectivity and love where you are.
