So fortunate am i to have known Herb, and to have spent much time with him and Ted in Bendigo, to see him as he was, to be treated exceptionally well, to know him intimately was a sublime experience. Thankyou Herb. Always your mate in life and in the next glorious adventure. Love always. Dale Spehr

I am shocked to just read about the passing of my dear friend Herbie Gibson. I was about to pen my annual Christmas Card to him and thought I would google his name to see if he finally hooked up to Facebook. I simply cannot believe it and I'm truly shocked at this news. My last memories were of Herbie living in Bendigo Victoria, the home base of his family. I lost track of him over the past few years and I would love to hear from anyone that may have known what happened to Herbie in his final years. A gifted and caring doctor, a loyal friend, gone too soon. Robert Reid, Melbourne.

Herb was an inspired and caring doctor. He was best man at our wedding, and a close lifetime friend we dearly loved. I was a receptionist at his clinic and admired and respected his expertise. We shared numerous holidays and, like his many friends, feel sad we were denied access to him on his move to Sydney. He had support from so many people unable to convey their care and affection. He will remain one of my closest friends and be remembered with love. Evelyn & Phil Harrison
