Recuerdo cuando en mi ciudad se oponian a que hubiera un templo, y el Profeta vino y en su mensaje nos dijo que en Monterrey se iba a construir el Templo y que todos debian estar preparados con su recomendacion, y a pesar de la gran opocision hoy contamos con uno de los pequeños templos que el dedico. Mi amado Profeta siempre estaras en mi corazón....

I was able to see Pres. Hinckley one time, with my then 9 yr old son. The spirit that surrounded him in that place, was peaceful, loving, and wonderful. I carry that memory with me always. I loved that man as if he were my own grandfather. Knowing he guided us as gently as a father should. He taught us the things that Heavenly Father wanted us to learn. I learned more from that man in the relatively short time I was acquainted with him, then I learned in my entire life. I only wish my own father would have been as loving. It was his guidance that helped/s me guide my own children in these troubled latter days. I am grateful to him, and I will miss him terribly. I rejoice with Marjorie, that she is reunited with her husband. I look forward to the day when the sealing ordinance can do the same for my husband and myself. I will always rember the one time I saw Gordon B. Hinckley in person. It was a very bright moment in my life. I just feel blessed th have such a man as a cousin and head of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

En Veracruz Mexico los Santos de los Ultimos Dias lamentamos la perdida del presidente Hinckley pues siempre fue un hombre de dios. sabemos que ahora esta al lado del padre y de todos los profetas de la historia le expresamos a su familia nuestras condolencias y pesares pues la noticia dolio bastante.

El cielo está de fiesta y la tierra con una tristeza en el alma ,hemos perdido un gran hombre, recuerdo cuando lo vi por primera vez en Costa Rica fue algo espectacular ahora lo veremos en el alma y nos reuniremos con el en la ETERNIDAD

It's a sad day for us all, but also a happy one for I know hes with God now.

What a great man! He taught truth and inspired the greatest missionary program ever. He never pointed fingers at sinners. He loved the sinner and taught that everyone has potential to be like our Father in Heaven. He always made me feel good about my standing with the Lord. I was honoured to serve a mission in the land that he served and come to love as much as I love it. I will always remember the time I skipped school to meet him in South Africa, his love and warmth filled the convention center that day. I love him. My family, friends and I will surely miss him.

What a sad story about passing away of our beloved prophet Gordon B Hinckley, but even tho his gone but his warm words of love, encouragement, cheerfulness, friendship and happiness are still shining in our homes especially in our hearts. We still remember that most of his talks its always about strengthing of families and youth he also quote how to protect them from trils and tribulations of this life. His such a wonderful man. In 1996 I was in the depths of a dark hell. I had been abused for many years and started to believe that I was headed to outer darkness. I tried counseling with my branch president, then I called Salt Lake City at spoke with Social Services there, after still feeling like I needed something more I got an adress to write to President Gordon B. Hinckley. Shorty thereafter, I received a letter back stating that the Lord loved me and our Prophet held words of encouragement and reassurance. The letter also stated he(President Hinckley) loved me and was praying for me. I lived in a little town out in the middle of nowhere in California and here was a world religious leader who cared for me. And not only a world leader, but a true and living Prophet of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Through the love and kindness This wonderful man showed to me during my darkest hours I now know I am not a lost soul bound to outer darkness. Even though, I am saddened at the loss of my dear Prophet and friend I know I will someday see him again and join with him in songs of praise. Farewell for now to a dear man of God. I love him very much. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

I remember seeing him at Gadfeild elm when I was young we was on holiday but came back home to see him. I'm glad we did because it was a special moment. When he dedicated the building we all felt the spirit inside us and all around and it is still there when we my family visit to do the gardening.

Well even tho his gone but his warm words of love is still shining in our homes and in our hearts, like most of his talks, its always about families and he also quote some of the ideas that we can use to refuse the trials and tribulations of this life. We love u so much Gordon B Hinckley, ur such a wonderful man.

He was my inspiration to be a better person, to stand a little taller and to be a little more kinder in my words and actions.

I remember being in the Institute Choir, the day Pres. Hinckley spoke at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Australia. I saw him again at the opening of the Adelaide Temple. I remember the quiet assurance he gave us. He was the only Prophet my children and I have known and we will miss him.

Gordon B. Hinckley was the life and the light of the church. He spread goodness and happyness to all who saw him and you couldn't help but feel that he loved you even if you didn't know him. I will miss him dearly. I think everyone will.

Being at the Entertanment Center Syd, Australia. Hearing him speak and being in the same room and so close is a memory I will never forget the warm feeling ,I had a lump in my throught ,goose pumps, And there was not a dry eye in the place. He will be missed.

Our Dear sweet President Hinkley...His presence exuded love and kindness. His eyes were a window to the true love of our Savior. A man of pure spirit and faith. How you will be missed.

He is now in Paradise with our Saviour as his work here on Earth is nothing short of being totally fulfilled. I am so proud to be a member of this true church and I hope to follow his teachings and be a better example to those around me and to be found worthy when our Lord returns to earth. "Grow the ward" - is a phrase that will stay with me for the rest of my life, not that it sounds much but it will always remind me that there is always more work for us all to do.

Sad news today, he was a man of utmost devotion to his faith. A stronger spirited man, I have never met. I had just left the SLC temple square visitor's center, and was talking to some skateboarders just outside the fence, one of them pitched their cig butt onto the grounds...and didn't even hesitate to go get it when I asked him to. As I watched him, I heard an older gentleman talking to the other kids. It was President Hinckley, he never admonished the kids for smoking, but thanked the young man I had sent for retrieving his litter. Then he proceeded to ask them to show him some of the tricks they had been doing earlier, I shook his hand and introduced myself, as he watched in awe of the kids on their boards...These kids were obviously not raised in the church, but in his presence, they had extinguished their smokes, did their tricks, and never swore like they had been 10 minutes earlier. After watching them for about 10 mins, and relishing in the company I kept, I had to leave. I bid farewell to President Hinckley, and left with his blessing. I often wonder, as busy as he was, how long he spent sitting on that bench relishing the time with those kids. He was a great man, a great leader, and I share my testimony that I believe that President Hinckley was called upon to be a prophet for the Lord and guided his worldwide congregation, with divine intervention, and he did it in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ...Amen.

Pdt Hinckley was the incarnation of the Christlike attitude. He was LOVE. He was kind, he was fun! and he was also a great leader. I will always remember the time where it came to Geneva (Switzerland), of its force, its kindness and its availability, in spite of its age and the tiredness of with the voyage. He was the prophet, but also the father of each one of us. He taught us with love and power and he will always have a place in my heart.

Recordemos a nuestro Profeta como un hombre de Fé, de Servicio ,un testigo de Jesucristo,un hombre lleno de AMOR . Bien buen siervo y fiel entra en el gozo de tu SEÑOR!!!!!

I first heard President Hinckley speak before I was even an inestigator by a friend who was a member and had been speaking to me about the church. After watching the General Conference I listening to him, I felt he was speaking directly to me. A few months later I became an investigater and shortly after joined the church. Every single time he spoke at the conferences I felt he was talking to "ME". I found out shortly after investigating we shared a birthday. I have been struggling with some things lately and at the sacrament meeting today the speakers quoted several of the thing Pres Hinckley said and again it was as if I was being spoken to by him. It lightened my heart and made me again realize just how important the gospel is in my life. I am saddened that he has passed but also very pleased to know he is in the Celestial Kingdom doing more work for my family who has passed as well. I am so thankful for his prophetsy.

The first time I heard President Hinckley speak, I was moved by the power of his conviction and the strength of his message. His impact will continue to guide me.

Pres Hinckley visited Kenya just after I joined the church. I felt His warmth and sincerity of Spirit. I know he was a prophet of God. He loved all alike and I miss him dearly.

I will never forget Pres. Hinckleys speach after 9/11. He restored my hope for the future in such a positive way. I will miss this great man.

I just wanted to say that I will always remember Persident Hinckley as a man whose love could be felt through his words. He has always been a key factor in my personal struggles in my life. I knew he loved me, even though I never met him. He will be deeply missed in this life and warmly greeted into the next. We love you.

I also remember when President Hinckley challenged all member to read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year 2006. Since I wasn't real active at the time I didn't find out about the challenge until mid-November. I hurried to read the Book of Mormon in the time he prescribed because of the promise that he gave that "there will come into your lives and into your homes an added measure of the Spirit of the Lord". Since that time my husband has been rebaptized, I have gone back to the temple and my daughter just got married in the temple. I will miss President Hinckley so much. I loved this great man and the spirit by which he taught! He will be sorely missed.

I remember one of the times Gordon B. Hinckley came to give a devotional at BYU Provo and he would wave to certain sections and the entire section of students would wave back. Since he found this to be fun he kept going back and forth between sections he'd wave to on his way out of the Marriott Center. His sense of humor will be missed
