Bill Simpson, a gutless wolf in sheep's clothing.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of David. I had the priviledge of working for David when he founded Finnskoga and Ausplay all those years ago. Whilst our paths changed course and I lost contact with David, I will always remember the good times when we were lead by an inspirational guy who had tremendous ability and motivation and someone who could take on the world. My deepest sympathy to his family and to his great friend and trusted business partner, Bill Simpson.

He had such vision, energy and passion; it was a great privilege to work with him in Fiinskoga and Ausplay, Iam so sorry for his family to have been parted from him. Like all who meet him what a privilege it was to have known him.

I was looking for David,.... sadly, sadly, sadly.... I found this entry here.
David was my boss. A great man. What I remeber about him,.... here is some key words: DFS001, LEDs, Green environment, Solar panel, Redland drive, DIO, BP Green LEDs, Hungry Jacks Red LEDs,....
I will miss him, .....

Our thoughts are with his family.

David was larger than life, with a passion to be the best he could be with his family, his employees and with innovative designs and solutions in business. He was bold and daring and courageous. He believed that clever design and busy people would bring about change, and that anything could be achieved. He set the pace in the playground industry, and all others were judged by his benchmark. You were a great and inspiring man and you will be sadly missed.

David was a man of genuine feeling, high achievement, great energy, broad vision and true concern for family and friends. His loss will be deeply felt and I will miss him.

David was a man of warmth, genuine feeling, high achievement, great energy, broad vision and true concern for family and friends. My heart goes out to his much loved wife and daughters. His loss will be deeply felt and I will miss him.

David was a man of vision who believed in a better way of doing things. He was a man with an enormous capacity to find opportunity and delight in it. He was before his time in solar energy and in various alternative technologies. Throughout his working life, he left his mark in children's playgrounds, in lighting technologies and further afield. His vision is to be found everywhere if anonymously. David's impact was greater than it first appears. Of his family, he spoke with such love and devotion and took enormous pride in each of his daughters. We knew each other for 25 years on and off and wanted to work together in various projects to promote a green environment and a better way to do business. Sadly, this was not meant to be. I will remember David with great fondness and wish his family heartfelt condolences.
