The first time I met Clark Sinclair, was the moment my life changed in so many ways. He was generous, kind and hospitable. Clark introduced me to the magic of radio, in real terms. Clark's knowledge of music, modern, classics but above all Jazz was profound. I accompanied Clark to Canberra where he was asked to help establish a record library. Clark's weekly radio program on 3AW playing retrospective music was well received by listeners and there were many applaudits that came his way. My dearest friendClark Sinclair ... I have missed you since the last time we said Goodbye. And now I will miss and love you forever.

Hi Terry, I share all your reflections on past times regarding Clark. Was it only yesterday that we all used to gather at his home in Grosvenor Street to party on New Year's Eve. When all were welcomed by Clark, people used to flock to his home where we ate, drank and were exceptionally merry, welcoming in the New Year. Christmas wasn't Christmas if I did not go to Clark's home and spend Christmas Day and New Year's eve at Grosvenor Street. Each year the celebrations at Grosvenor Street became a ritual, in that I would not dream of going anywhere else, nor would very many of his friends. Yes, as Terry says, you taught so very many of us about Jazz in particular, but speaking for myself, I also learned a great deal about soul, R&B and so on and so forth. However, I remember well, one Friday evening going into record stores that sold secondhand vynals and finding a Mozart concerto which Clark bought and played once we were back at his home. Clark's depth of undrstanding music, and more importantly his apparent ability to relate to the composer was staggering. Clark will be missed by so very many people in the media, musical theatre, and from all other walks of life. Salut! to my dear, dear friend Clark Sinclair. I began to miss you when we said goodbye the last time, miss you still and will continue to do so.... Here's Looking At You ....Manchester, England.

Hi Terry, not sure if you will receive this text, but I notices your tribute to Clark this morning [Wednesday july 21]. I was told about Clark yesterday and was terribly saddened and shocked. Hope you and yours are well in California. here in Manchester, England, it is okay. Could be better, but then I guess, could be worse. Regards and Best Wishes, Doreen Cook.
