I was thinking about Carolyn the other day. She must have been doing the rounds.......
She was so special - I remember her from when I was quite young; so constant and faithful a member at St Pauls.
In recent years, I have been one of the beneficiaries of her empathy and support. I think the challenges in her life contributed to the depth of her interactions with others. This is certainly true in my case, and I will remember her with much love. I am glad that I got to share a meal with her at Debra Heppner's birthday lunch recently. She was so very happy at hearing about my stuff, and I remember how proudly and lovingly she spoke about Kate (who I don't see very much, but remember fondly).
I am sorry that I won't be able to attend the service on Monday, but to Kate, Andrew and all your family - my thoughts are with you as you pass through this toughest of times. My hope is that you'll be comforted by the many memories and beautiful words you are bound to receive in the coming days. And by the fact of Carolyn's commitment to her faith. May these things support you as you miss her being among you.
With love, Jo Pfitzner (Pilens)
