my heart goes out to the people of Victoria, those who are suffering devastation and loss of family and friends, through the callous act of one or two individuals. I have never had the pleasure of visiting Victoria, but i have family and friends there and was planning a visit in a couple of weeks. I weep for you, i know this country can be both beautiful and harsh but i have called it home for over 42 years, I have seen it's beauty and its cruelty and i know as Australian's you will rebuild and grow with the hope, love, support and prayers of the rest of us living here.

One thing we all loved about Gippsland was her absolute natural beauty! Ive been through the towns a few times in the camper, east coast is so beautiful and there really isnt any other Truely Australian Bush Lands quite like her. SO Sadden to know so many lives have been destroyed. So many hearts have been broken and Too many tears to cry. Gippsland will grow back as we can only hope her keepers will recover also in time. WE AUSTRALIANS WILL HELP PUT YOU BACK TOGETHER!!! TOGETHER!! BE STRONG FOR EACH OTHER! ----THANK YOU TO ALL RESCUE PERSONEL---IN ALL TEAMS, CFS, AMBOS,POLICE,WILDLIFE,SALVOS,REDCROSS,PUBLIC, ALL OTHER CHARITIES, AND EVERY GOOD HEART IN THE WORLD THAT IS HELPING--!! May all of you that have lost a loved one/s, I feel your pain. I find it hard not to watch Sky news, and I keep hearing the updates and many times I am reduced to tears. The sad stories of parents that have lost children is what affects me most, I have 3 young children and I cant imagine how hard during a fire and the limited time people had to escape what would have been going through the parents heads, and how difficult it would be for a parent to survive and lose a child. We can replace cars, and other material possessions but we cant replace people. I hope the death toll will be lower than what they are currently saying. To all those that have not heard from loved ones, I hope that they are safe, and that they will be in contact soon. Its beautiful to see that so many people trying to help these devasted communities, fighting fires, patroling the streets, medical assistant, financial assistance and the kind people that have given up there time to help any way they can. You are in our hearts & prayers.

It is so heart warming to see so much generosity from people all over the country. People are never be forgotten in times of tragedy. Animals should never be forgotten also. Its beautiful to hear people mention the animals too, They are voiceless, we need to yell out nice and loud for them when they need help aswell. Good on you.

My thoughts are with you every minute of the day. It is almost unbelievable what has happened to the people of Victoria. I feel for all of you who have lost your homes, cars, your belongings, pets, friends and family. I just keep thinking how devasting and frightening it would have been as a parent trying to escape the fire with your children and loved ones. God bless you all, the survivors are so lucky to be alive, in time your lives and communities will be rebuilt, and in time your hearts & souls mended. To the brave hero's helping out these burnt out towns, you are stars, you have a very hard job and your doing it with excellence.

The bushland of Yea holds a special place in my heart as my dear darling brother Matthew spent his last hrs there in 2000. It was his favourite camping place where he found peace and solitude. Through all the tears I have cried over the last 8yrs, I now shed tears for all the victims of this terrible bushfire. I will again drive through the area and now not only say a prayer for my brother but also the many that have lost so much. My heart is aching and will continue to ache. RIP. Kate & family in Qld

The greatest honour we can pay those no longer with us, is to help rebuild those affected communities. It will take time and we must remain mindful of their needs long after it is off the front page of newspapers. The tears flow freely , my heart breaks, I cannot know the anguish but I can care and be greatful for what I have and not covet what I don't. Make the most of each day for we never know if there will be a tomorrow. From this horror may we all learn to care for each other and to respect our differences...life is too short. May those gone from us rest in peace. For the survivors may they find strength in each other and rebuild their lives. To the volunteers, thank you, to the CFA..you are my heroes.

How can so many die in a few hours? what they must have gone through..I am sure, they must certainly have seen Gods beautiful face now and found their glory, let us who remain stay strong for them, rebuild and walk side by side for them and like never before, dont give up for them. We will do it for them, we must do it for them.. we owe it to them to rebuild and remain strong.. God and his angels be with every survivor every step of the way hold their hand and give them strength...God bless you all.
