Came to know of your demise only on a couple of days back while going though our alma mater's annual brochure. It was an utter shock for me to discover that such a genuine, smart and intelligent young chap had passed away. Googled out your name to get more info on this unexpected event and found this link land up here. Had some nice memories associated with you - RIP. My belated condolences to his family and pals.

Still remember the time when sriram introduced Anand in the first floor of VIT main building that he is also from west mambalam..very fresh..bubbly guy with lots of enthu.... slowly became an integral part of TCVs..such an active person he was...still couldnt beleive myself that i am typed 'he was' and not 'he is'.....during gre prep days or during regualr weekends..cudnt forget the moments we used to catch lalbagh or suburban back home.we used to keep a race between central and partk stations..obvi he finished it first..the way he sings romantic songs so passionately or the way he says ''ulti da..kalsala irunthuthu'..' for any comments...all memories flashin up my mind..esp his reaction whe someone calls him 'dino'.... last time i met him was at the city center ..same enthu..same hyperactiveness...as a caring hubby and a lovely father.... .Anandaa..will remain in our hearts ever for ur passion for whatever u do da...tthis time too u ran the race too fast and finished it first...will miss u da....u were 13 + 1 for tcv...now bharathi and uday wud be 13 + 2 for us ... We were classmates for a couple of years at DAV in Chennai, but the lingering image of Anand is when we met at Grand Central Station in NYC on 01/01/2005. He traveled about 6 hours to say hi to a group of us for about 5 minutes. I remember his as being passionate about everything he did. It is indeed very sad to learn about this. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Anand.

It is still hard to believe that Anand is gone. I catch myself looking up at the clock every day at 2:00pm expecting Anand to come over and ask me to go with him for a cup of coffee. We had a lot of good times here at work. I could always count on him for a laugh. The work place will never be the same without him. I'm sorry for all the jokes I played on you and for occasionally teasing you. You were a good friend Anand and I will miss you.

An abiding memory I have of him is when I told him on 2004 new years that I have resolved to stop smoking. Totally unexpectedly, he gave me a big hug and said he was happy for me. I guess that described him perfectly. Totally hyperactive, but an amazingly caring heart within. I may not have been too much in touch with you ma man, but I haven't forgotten...

"Aren't you Vivek Bhaskar?" you asked me last year near the toys isle at Target here in Peoria. I didn't recognize you at first but then it came to me pretty quickly, you were my junior at VEC. I spoke with you and Bharati for at least half an hour about things and catching up! I was pleasantly surprised to see you married and settled with a baby. I think I was also giving you some suggestions as to which brand of stroller to buy :) ... I am shocked, saddened and I cannot believe such a young and vibrant soul like you has left us. Our love and prayers go out to Bharati and Uday. May you rest in peace. Vivek Bhaskar

Dei ananda, i'm still not able to comprehend the fact that you are no more with us. You brought joy, fun, entertainment wherever you were. Can't forget the endless arguments that we've had, the pranks on you that we played in college days. May god give all the strength to Bharathi, Uday and rest of the family.

I AM COLLEAGUE OF ANANDS DAD. I HAVE INTERACTED WITH HIM ON QUITE A FEW OCCASIONS WHEN HE VISITED BRAKES INDIA. WE MET HIM ONCE IN HIS HOSTEL IN VIT WHEN WE ALL WENT TO OUR COLLEAGUES MARRIAGE. A CALM, EASYGOER GUY. VERY ATTACHED TO HIS SISTER. HIS PARENTS HAS TAKEN EVERY STEPS IN THEIR LIFE TO ENSURE THAT HE REACHES HEIGHTS IN HIS CAREER AND LIFE. WE ARE DEEPLY SHOCKED THAT YOU ARE NOT THERE WITH US. ALAS GOD SHOULD NOT BE SO CRUEL. I AM REALLY SORRY. MAY GOD GIVE HIS FAMILY & PARENTS STRENGTHS AND BLESSINGS TO RECOVER FROM THIS SHOCK. " I DONT BELIEVE THIS!, THIS IS NOT TRUE, HE IS WITH US, WITH EVERYBODY, OH GOD CAN YOU MAKE IT TRUE FOR THE SAKE OF HIS SMALL KID !. "

3+ YEARS AT RIT AS A ROOMIE, CLASSMATE AND SO ON AND SO FORTH IS WHAT IS BETWEEN ANAND AND ME. I HAPPEN TO HAVE THE SAME FIRST NAME AS HE. A GOOD FRIEND, A STRONG MINDED PERSON, A VERY DETERMINED INDIVIDUAL.... THE LIST GOES ON. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS THAT COULD DESCRIBE ANAND. IMPACT ALWAYS HAPPENS IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, BUT THE EFFECT OF THE IMPACT REMAINS FOR A LONG TIME. ANAND HERE IS THE IMPACT.. HIM AND HIS ACTIONS ARE THE EFFECT AND HE WILL BE IN MY HEART FOR A VERY LONG TIME. THERE ARE A LOT OF CHERISHED MOMENTS THAT WILL ALWAYS REMAIN EVER GREEN. DAI AK.. I WILL DEFINITELY MISS YOU DA....... A LOT........

Anand was probably the best worker and friend a person could ever meet. Ive only known him since 2006 but the last few months I feel we got very close. He loved his family and would always talk to me about them. Especially his son. He was so proud of the playset he had just put together for him. He showed me a video of his son playing for the first time on it and I believe Anand was more excited than Him. Anand touched alot of people here at Parker/Vansco and he will be missed.

Anand and I go back more than a decade, to the days of IIT classes, and of course 4 eventful years at Vellore. I always wanted to tell him how much I envied his sheer energy and his ability to take everything in his stride, but never did. Anand: if you are reading this, I'm sure you're quietly smiling away to yourself :-) Thank you for all the great memories and all the good old times. You were always there with us in VIT...and I'm quiet sure you'll continue to be with us, omnipresent as ever! Good Night Anand.

Anandaaaa....the most energetic person I have known. Anyone who knew him will say it without a second thought. You were a good friend, a great son, a cool bro, a loving husband and a wonderful father. Everyone of us will miss you da. Though we didnt have constant touch with you, I wonder why we got back in touch the last 3 months and made plans to meet up. Atleast Shivi and I could talk to you well and often last few months. Wondarful memories...the guy who named our group "TCV"...very active...hates to be called dino...always in a hurry to get things done...and so was your life. Our condolences to your family and we pray to God to give Bharathi and your family all the strength to handle the loss. You will always remain in our prayers. Just pretending to believe that you are still out there somewhere as happy as ever. We will miss you, Hema & Shivi

Anand and I studied in VIT and lived in the same hostel for 4 years. He was my neighbor for 3 years. Always a highly energetic and enthusiastic person who did anything that his heart told him to do. I still remember him coming to my room and changing any song that I was playing to the one he liked(which made me make a playlist for him and named it after him) and also used to shout from his room that he liked a song that I am playing - sometimes asking me turn the volume up.... I still remember the prank Sriram, Yadav and I played on Anand - a day before one of the 6th sem exams where we locked him inside his room(he was so focussed on studies that he didn't know we did it....) and the corridor cricket... and watching Cricket WC '03 and Soccer WC '02 together.... the train trips from Chennai to Vellore and back... Us finishing the rasagullas that his Mom once brought to the hostel... so many memories.... You will forever be remembered and my condolences goes to your family. I pray that God gives your family the strength in the world. -- Y

The shock and disbelief of your impatient departure from this world, will always be the most hurting memory and instance of your impatience and rush to get things done. Not fair that you leave us all, away from worries, fights, gossips, good times and life... so very soon. Memories of you will always be etched - especially, that it does strike down hard to know that all of us guys cannot blanket you any more and pounce on you like we did during the hostel days...

the first friend i met in college and my first year neighbor in the hostel.... very intelligent, cool and hyper active guy... we (esp Sriram & me) used to enjoy pulling his legs for all sorts of reasons in first year... but he always took them lightly and would join us in the fun... Dei Aanandaa, i was completely shocked and devastated when i heard the news da... although i haven't been in constant touch with you all these years, i always knew from Sriram that you were living a happy life with ur family in the US... i will still continue to think the same as i can't take the fact that ur no longer with us.. I sincerely hope & pray that God gives all the strength in this world to Bharathi and ur family and help them survive this terrible loss... - Sriram S
